Next up is the Jackathon jams label. The first e.p. is remixes from her highly acclaimed mixed compilation that came out in august last year. In the hot seat is Eats Everything remix of Jamie Jones, Deniz Kurtel remix of Solomun and Richy Ahmed remix of Mathias Kaden. Out may 14th. Then you can expect a whole slew of releases set to be released throughout the summer and autumn from Eats Everything, Darius Syrossian, Lauhaus & Rik Woldring, Maya Jane Coles and Jesse Perez to name a few.

The Jackathon is about energy and feeling and expressing something that lurks deep in the soul. The events have become a phenomenon due to their loose musical philosophy and family feel. Heidi felt now is the time to encapsulate its message and share it with the world. Keeping it in the family spirit, Heidi took The Jackathon compilation to her original home label, Get Physical, and asked 16 of her closest peers and artists she admires to produce a track specifically for the compilation. Juan MacLean, Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, Solomun, Deetron, Anja Schneider & And.id, label mates DJ T and many more stepped up to the challenge.

Heidi starts her new show on BBC Radio 1 call “Radio 1′s Residency”. She will be on rotation every 3 weeks bringing you the freshest underground house and techno with all the juicy bits inbetween.

She will also be bringing in fresh new talent to the studio to drop their new music and sit and chat about all sorts of shennanigans. Her first show airs April 19th midnight-2am with very special guests and dear friends of hers SOUL CLAP. Their new album E FUNK drops on the 20th so they have plenty to giggle about.

Growing up in Windsor, Ontario Canada, just across the border from Detroit, Heidi had a childhood filled with the sounds of classic rock, blues and folk. It wasn’t long, though, before the sounds of the Motor City and Chicago led her to a deep and lifelong passion for underground dance music.

A move to London in 2000 to immerse herself in the music scene led to a job working at the now defunct Koobla Records, and in 2003 Heidi was part of the team that opened up London’s foremost record shop, Phonica. Through her work there she gained invaluable experience of the scene and underground culture, and began helping put together sets for many of the world’s top DJs. This soon led her from vinyl fanatic to budding DJ, of which the wildly successful Get Physical label took note in 2004, making her a unique staple for the label in Berlin.
